Shop parameters stay local. No machine is connected.

Pitch system, knurl-wheel parameters, blank diameter, tolerance, and expected growth are used only for integer-tooth inversion on the current page. KnurlTrack connects to no lathe, CNC, gauge, or inventory system.

Geometric starting point, not process approval

The tool inverts ideal CP, TPI, or DP relationships into integer-tooth blank diameters and shows at most 30 candidates inside the requested correction range; the ring draws at most 72 marks. Estimated finished growth is entirely your process assumption. It does not model cut versus form knurling, straight/diagonal/diamond tooth geometry, material flow, wheel pressure, feed, holder rigidity, chamfer, springback, wear, or maker-specific corrections.

Trial sheets may be process data

Refreshing or closing discards inputs. CSV contains pitch, integer tooth count, candidate blank diameter, correction, tolerance window, and estimated finished diameter; reports and optional local checkpoints read the visible summary. Always make a short trial cut using the target material, wheel, machine, and workholding, and follow machine-safety requirements.

Local report studio

The report studio reads only the workbench’s currently visible result summary for local preview, Markdown copy, JSON download, printing, and a SHA-256 fingerprint. It never reads input controls or original files and is not persisted unless you choose to download it.

Optional local checkpoints

Only when you explicitly choose Save does the tool write the visible result summary, time, and optional short label to this site’s browser storage, up to five entries. Imported files and input-control contents are never stored; you can export, restore same-tool checkpoints, or clear them at any time. Imports are limited to 128KB and validate the tool, timestamp, summary, and label of up to 80 characters.
